Los Angeles County.
Also known as surf city, Huntington Beach is a growing bedroom community, located in central Orange County,
about 125 miles north of the Mexican border. It is most accessible from the
405 freeway or Pacific Coast highway. John Wayne airport is a twenty minute drive south.
The television series The OC has put the area on the map, giving Orange County a reputation for fashion trends,
wealthy suburbs, and eccentric behavior. As for any resemblance between the show and the
actual Orange County they know and love, residents smile and say there is very little.
Aside from excellent beaches, the main draw here is the weather, which is mild and temperate years round.
The school district is one of the best, and crime rate is very low. Other nearby attraction include the Bolsa
Chico nature preserve, the Huntington Beach Pier, and the annual Fourth of July Parade and fireworks.
The home of the Queen Mary, Long Beach is located 20 miles south of Los
Angeles. It has excellent freeway access from the 405, the 110, and the 605.
Both Los Angeles and the LAX international airport are less than a half hour
drive to the north.
Long Beach enjoys some of the best weather in the world, mild and sunny
almost year round. The suburb where the rental is located has excellent schools and a low crime rate. It is also just a ten minute
bike ride away from California State University Long Beach.
